DSLR Camera Bags
Meet my new DSLR Nikon 3100 Camera.
I got it for Christmas but haven't had a chance to take too many pictures with it yet. One of the first things on my list to do after receiving it was to buy the proper bag for it.
All of the ones at the store were too "man-ly." I wanted something "girly" so I searched "camera bags for women." Thank goodness for google. I learned that such a thing does exist and there's a huge market out there of stylish camera bags.
I couldn't believe there were camera bags meant to look like purses. What an amazing idea!
We're going to be traveling to Boston this year and I kept that in mind when searching for a bag. Something that wouldn't look like a typical camera bag, and also easy to travel with.
I first came across Jill-E and immediately fell in love with this bag. I thought it would be perfect if my husband had to hold it for a few minutes. The material is weather-resistant; love the messenger style bag look; and a great price. Click on the picture to see what I'm talking about.
Then I fell in love with the Lola Red bag from Epiphanie. Not so much the price but I was in love with it so price didn't matter. Then I found out they are sold out until April (it's now April but I started typing this blog in January). Once the idea occured to me that essentially this is just your basic camera organizer inside of a nice leather purse. I decided to look on Amazon for an insert.
That's where I found the Clik Elite CE510RE Capsule in Red (which looks orange).
This was a great idea because at home I can just keep the camera on the shelf in this little capsule and when we travel I bought a large purse to carry it in. I found this cute summer bag at Marshall's back in January!
Anyone else have a stylish camera bag out there?

A Clean Closet
We have his and her closets in our bedroom. My husband joked the other day that my closet must be bilemic. What he meant was my closet tends to purge itself of all of its contents by the middle of the week. It's true. During the week, I'm in a rush to get out the door and when I get home, I'm too tired to even think about cleaning, let alone actually do it.
Do any of you have this problem too?
I'm a pretty organized person but when I'm in a hurry, organization goes flying right out the window!
All of my neatly stacked shoeboxes usually end up in front of my closet by weeks end from a morning when I couldn't find the right shoe to wear. Clothes don't seem to get thrown in the hamper inside of my closet, instead they land at it's feet because picking the lid off the hamper is just too much work at 9 o'clock at night. Oh... and if I tried on an outfit that didn't work out, most likely it wasn't hung back up but thrown on the chair next to my closet.
Every weekend I clean it up and put it back in order. It's a good thing I don't have a lot of clothes/shoes or a walk-in closet. This past weekend I made an effort to organize the shoe boxes in a manner which should be easier for me. I also switched out my winter clothes for the summer. Somehow I am able to keep my clothes in perfect order. I have a section for sleeveless shirts, tops, dress pants, skirts, suits, dresses and in the very back are my sports jerseys (RIP my cute little Manning Colt's jersey). That I am good with keeping in order. We'll see if this will last...

Dining Room Table Reveal
**I promised this blog back in the fall but as you know, I've been a bad blogger since becoming a homeowner.**
My husband and I already came into the home with enough furniture but we needed a real dining room table. When we first moved in together in Arizona, we bought a pub table from Ikea. It was a great purchase and served it's purpose in our apartment(s). It was time for a change and something that would properly fill the space.
I scoured the internet for just the right table. I knew exactly what I wanted after seeing our house when it was decorated as a model home.
I searched all around but kept coming back to this table. So I took my husband and family with me to look at this same table. Everyone fell in love with it which made me like it even more.
What do you think?
This is a picture from when it was decorated by a professional. The light fixture has changed since this photo was taken and I don't have anything hanging on the walls just yet.
I'm still working on finding the right buy on table settings. I promise to take a photo when I do.
We also purchased the side board to match the table because we needed the actual storage. Sometimes it feels a bit crowded but it made a nice dessert serving table at Thanksgiving shown below.
